Fast Hitch Farmall C

Is there a way to adjust the two receivers on a fast hitch to gain a fraction of an inch additional distance between them. I have an impliment that is 1/4 of an inch to wide and I haven't found a way to create even that much play between the receivers.

All the small-point implements should be the same width to fit in the C Fast Hitch. There is no way, short of heating and bending, to spread those receivers further apart then they are now.

I'll ask, though....are you sure the implement you want to insert, thats too wide, is made for your C? Implements made for anything 300-sized or larger, have bigger (wider, taller) points and that added size would make the spacing wider. Even if spaced the same, those large points would not fit into the fast hitch on your C.

Carl, There is no adjustment on spacing to the sockets on the fast hitch. Both large and small prong fast hitches use the same 28" spacing.Small point FH implements will fit into large socket FH with the use of 1/2" thick filler plates. The only difference between the large and small FH is the 1/2" height difference of the points(3"' high on large vs. 2 1/2" high on small).
My guess is either the bail( the part of your fast hitch with the sockets on it) or the prongs on your implement are bent or sprung.Measure both hitch and implement to see if they are 28" center to center. If either one is sprung or bent, the use of a hydraulic porta power or other method of straightening is called for.Hope this helps,Mark
