the pto on my 756 dosnt move when i pull the lever. i dont here any noise at all from it. are the clutchs bad in it or something else thanks.

There is a small pin that can shear or fall out on the control valve spool toward the bottom end of the spool not sure if you can get it out with the pto in the tractor i have always taken the pto out go to a dealer get the pin and have them print you the page out of the parts book that pin breaking is common and if it just up and quit I'll bet that is the problem

I would agree it may very well be the little pin. To verify that you can take the plug out directly below the operating valve spool. When you take plug out (fluid will leak out) if pin is broken part of valve will fall out, then you know that is the problem. It can be repaired on tractor but you need to be familiar with how it goes together and you need to adjust pressure with a gauge and if you have a 3 pt hitch it is probably easier to remove the unit from tractor rather than take parts of hitch apart.

if that little pin is broken, you should be able to pull the control valve spool up out the top of the pto unit. when the 2 halves of the spool are properly connected, it goes in/out through the bottom. this requires either removing lots of the 3 point hitch or pulling the pto unit.

i'd agree; if the pto worked fine, then suddenly quit, i'd suspect the little pin. that's just a couple bucks from the CIH dealer.
