Hello,
Awhile back I wrote in about my '41 H that would miss and not start when warm. Turns out I had the point setting in the mag way off. I had replaced everything in the mag, it was all original, and was wondering where to go next.
Finally took the mag off and to a local oil field supply place that works on them. Turns out all that was wrong was the points gap. Felt kind of stupid. I think I had tried to set them while on the tractor. Much easier to take the mag of to set them. Tractor now starts before a complete revolution and runs smooth even when hot.
Thanks to you all and to Miller supply here in Southeastern Ohio.
