What size rim for 9.5x24 tire?

Hi,

My Super A has a rim that is rotted out by the valve stem and the tube is poking through. My tires are 9.5x24. Will the 9x24 rim available on this site fit? I also see 10x24 and 8x24 on other sites but nothing for 9x24.

If anyone has one locally for sale let me know, I am in S. NH.

Thanks.

Original tire size was 9X24, changed tire size in the last 50 yrs to 9.5X24, that rim should fit. I just re-tired 2 on an A, had to weld up one wheel-rotted around stem from calcium, which did not go back in. Your wheel possibly could be welded, depending on how bad it is rotted out. I am in Western MA, about 10 miles from NH on CT River.
Email: [email protected] if I can help.

What will fit and what is right are different things. If you read the sidewall of a 9.5, it will say on a 9 inch rim. Originally, a Super A with 9-24 tires probably had 8 inch rims.

Measure the good rim on the othe side and get the same size so you will have a matched pair.

The 9.5 will mount and work good on the 8in rim. The 8in rim will measure 9in outside to outside. Tons of 9.5s being used on the 8in rim.
