Ok, so working on this old girl is similar to pulling a string on a sweater... I fix two things, three things pop up.

Genny is bad and I'm having it rebuilt. After removing it, I saw the belt needs to be replaced... so... I found an Anti-freeze leak on the front of the fan itself.

So, next question is I remember reading someplace there is a waterpump seal or packing. Anybody do this before? Do you have to remove the radiator to do this? Or do I need a new water pump?

I'm upsetting the delicate balance of broken parts... but I'm hooked. (Is there a pill for this??)

Thanks again guys... I appreciate you passing on your knowledge!

No pills are available, just the prescription for modest and timely engagement in the hobby. There is a packing nut to be tightened. It is at the drive shaft at the front of the pump. Not easy to see or to get to very well. Best of luck. I am a doctor, but not a medical type. JimN
