do I need the wheel weights on my A?

I was painting my rims today and in the process I took off the weights. They are round weights that attach to the rims. Do I need to put them back on? I don't do any work with my Farmall A. Every now and then I might pull a small trailer with it, but that is it. Most of the time I drive it on pavement or on hard dirt.

For what you are using the tractor for I would say no. You would need them for plowing, etc.

I don't do any plowing with it. I usually just drive it around for fun.

I collect some and work some of mine and the only tractor that I have weights on is my JD A and I use it for pulling. You will know if you will ever need them.

I have a cub I use for cultivating without weights. For what your doing I'd say no weight needed.

I'd say safely no. Weight is needed for traction (drawbar work) or ballast (front end loader). Enjoy your red iron.
