farmall 300 spewing rad fluid

I was wondering if anybody knew anything about a 300 that spits a small amount of what I think is rad fluid out of the exhaust at start up. It only does it if it has been sitting for a while, and does not do it while it is running. Was wondering if anyone could guess at the cause, and what would need to be done to fix. Thanks

If it is anti freeze,Your head gasket is seeping enough while parked awhile to put some in a cylinder, and when started it blows it out.If not fixed it'll be stuck one day and not turn over

Look carefully. It may just be condensation coming out of the muffler upon start-up and only until the muffler gets hot enough that it no longer forms condensation. Ever seen a car shortly after start-up, especially on a cooler day. Lots of "steam" and water coming from the exhaust. Same thing with a tractor exhaust......

If Too Far Gone is correct, you should retorque the head bolts. It may solve your problem, If you are lucky.

before you start it next time, crank it over with the ignition off or just pull the coil wire. then pull the spark plugs and check for antifreeze.

If it is anti freeze it will have a sweet smell and if you will taste it it will be sweet. Just touch your finger to the moister. A taste won t kill you but a gallon will.
