I have an IH engine DT466 S/N 467TC2U079202*. Can anyone tell me the date of manufacture and what machine it orginally was installed in? Thanks

It might be out of a dt466 truck. I think they made theose for a long time and they still might im not sure. It might have been used in tractors too. I know at the farm I work at we have 20 trucks that say Dt466 on the side or on the hood ornament. They range from the mid 80"s to about 2000.

If it is out of a tractor it should have another T in the serial number string. In tractor use non turboed engines had DT stamped on them. Turboed engines had DTT. I don't think any tractors used a 466 that wasn't turboed.
