TA T/A ? (quick dumb question)

I've searched a lot about my Hydro 86 and can't figure out what the TA or T/A is. Is it the speed setting control and if so, what does TA stand for?

Torque Amplifier. Provides a high and a low range you can engage without depressing the clutch. Just be careful not to freewheel downhill with the T.A. back.

Your Manual probably covers both Gear Drive, and Hydrostatic Drive. As stated below, The TA (GOOD THING for gear tractors)is not needed on a Hydro as the hydro speed control does that job perfectly. JimN

Thanks so much, head scratching over. I appreciate the explanation even though I don't have one!
