46 belly hydraulics

I have a 46 M project and a parts M so I now have a belly hydraulics pump (behind the clutch). The last word was it works fine, but I would like to at least open and clean the tank and pump area but have no books to help me. Would someone have something that might help and also can I change out the clutch through this small hole or will the tractor have to be put in half? I would like to at least change the clutch plate and pads while in this area.

If you have a farm store nearby (TSC, etc) get an I&T manual for the letter series. Otherwise you need the IH clutch manual from www.external_link. You can change the clutch through that hole, provided it is an 11 inch clutch, which the 46 M is supposed to have. But, the belly pump is very heavy and must be removed first. If you work alone, use threaded rod to lower it. I have never done it, just relaying what I have read.
