Super A and woods mower

Trying to mount a L503 on super A. Do you need to remove Draw bar studs and replace with bolts?
Does anyone have a picture of the rear bar mounted they would share? Thanks oldiron29

I have a Woods book but it doesn"t show it clearly. I recently mounted the L59 on mine, I removed the stud from the front on each side and used bolts and nuts for the front top and bottom then used the drawbar bolt for the third bolt on each side. Not certain whether they were 1/2 or 5/8" bolts.

peculiar, That is what I thought the studs would have to be replaced with bolts. Now I have to try to get them out. oldiron29

Having trouble downloading pictures from camera, will fight it a while longer. Meanwhile I scanned this page of the manual which should show belt twists.

I would replace the front idler that is v-grooved with a smooth one and do away with the half turn of the belt coming off the drive. It works much better as it is hard to have such as twist in a short space. New mowers come that way.

I have the same setup on my SA / L503 and was considering the same thing...a flat double-flanged pulley to take the 1/2 twist out.

I also do not have a drawbar on my tractor...don't really need one as of right now.

The Woods documentation is a little shy on SA/L503, as I recall the one manual for the L503 is for a Ford 8N install.
