Hello. I am trying to figure out how to adjust my wide-front end on my Farmall M. I need it set under 72in (Max width of my trailer). Need to know the best way to do this. Thanks for all your help. Also if I turn the wheels on the back around will that decrease the width? THANKS ALL

If you turn the back wheels around and mount them in the same place the tractor will be narrower. But personally I think it looks better with them mounted the wider way, and slid all the way in.

most likely its going to be really frozen... so what we do is spray the heck out of it with pb blaster or the like. after put a 8 to 12 ton jack on the top of the axel with a pice of channel iron as a spacer between the sides. once you get both sides off clean them up really well dont forget the inside of the tube, then never-sieze the pices and move them in. thats the only way we have been able to get them to move in is by going out first.

Stevie: Buy a wider trailer, or buy a smaller tractor. An M set under 72" outside, has the stability of a bicycle.

Which Blaster product do you mean when you write "PB Blaster"? They seem to have many products but none by that name that I can find on their Web site.

The company name is B'laster Chemical.

PB Blaster is the Penetrating Catalyst product
GDL Blaster is their Garage Door Lube product
TDL Blaster is The Dry Lube product
LMT Blaster is a Lawn Mower Tuneup product.

Sooooooo, you want PB Blaster, which is the Penetrating Catalyst, advertised to loosen up stuck bolts. It works well, but you may need several weeks worth of soaking to get any results out of it on something like a tractor wide front end.

A big rosebud torch and a portapower to heat the center tube and press it apart will give you quicker results.

Thank you.

> A big rosebud torch...

I use the blue wrench when appropriate, but there are times when it isn"t (on bearings, for example).
