I was wondering is there a tire specialty place for tractors.I need 10X34 for a 53 farmall super c. Any good dealers. A local dealer quoted me 350 a piece mounted. I dont what brand but doesit really matter, but once again are they close tooriginal, is there an original dealer for these tires out there.

$400 a side is normal for tires and tubes. I have my local tire shop get them for me. They'll order what ever I want. I usually get Firestone Field and Road. They are good tires and look good to. Oh, they will want the (old) tires and rims on the tractor as their equipment is designed to change the tires while mounted on the tractor. Dave.

You want 11.2-36 which is the same as 10-36. 4 plies are ok on a C. There is no such thing as an "original" dealer, unless you insist on originality -- then order from Miller Tire and pay shipping, which will likely kill the deal. www.millertire.com. I just buy from the local Firestone dealer.

Just asked a few weeks ago , 475 a side . Ya better get em before they change there mind .

Don't worry about getting a vintage tire for your tractor. They don't make 'em, and if they did, you'd probably puke your guts out when you heard how much they'd cost.

Pretty much any tractor tire available now will look at home on a Super C, except the long-bar, short-bar Goodyears. Firestone's Field and Road style has been around for decades and would have been found on these tractors on working farms, but these are priced like top-of-the-line tires.

If you can get ANY new tires for $350 each mounted, buy a dozen.

I would be concerned about brand. I bought an old tractor with new, no name tires on it, and within two years they had bad weather cracks.

Thumbanger,

Size 10-36 is the old size designation for 11.2 x 36. They changed the designation sometime in the mid to late 1950's but a 10-36 and a 11.2 x 36 are the same size tire.

Regardless of the brand, to me, 45 degree lug tires look better and more near original on a letter series tractor than do 23 degree lug tires.
