what kind of grill

what kind of grill or what did a farmall grill with four holes in it come on? it all looks the same as a regular m grill but has two extra holes out from the center.

SMTA tractors used the grill and it may have got used on some late SM. Also some can be found with the place for the big holes and the holes not put in. Also after IH started making the late style grill it was sold as a replacement grill for M and SM tractors after old style run out. You can check the last parts books IH used and see by the suffix letters at end of part number that the same grill was sold for all.

Yes, but not if it is "same as regular m grill" as LMBky states. Different size for SH.

thanks, it was on a 49 m we baught and are super m grill wasnt as good so we wanted to switch, this will help our decision

I'm well aware of that, as I have an H, M, and Super H with the wide holes. -- I missed the "M" because it was in lower case. Even read the post twice, still missed it -- oh well.
