switching farmall H narrow to wide front end

Just bought a wide front end to put on my hay-making farmall H. Just wanted to see how long it should take(estimated time) to pull off narrow front and install wide front. also any tips and pointers on how to make things easier.
thanks

Just curious as to why you want a wide front. I find they don't turn as sharp and when square baling you have more trouble avoiding baled hay. For round baling pressing the windrow down helps avoid hanging on the drawber and prepares it for the baler. I just cannot see any advantages to the wide front other than they wobble less if you have a worn bolster bearing.

Not being able to turn as short may be a blessing. PTO shafts are not good at tight angles.

The wide front will ride better on a rough field because the odds of both front tires hitting the same bump at the same time are greatly reduced. You'll only feel half the effect of each rock, rut, or pothole you hit.

With the right tools available, and if all the bolts come out, you should be able to swap in a wide front in about an hour, or two.

A lot depends on the equipment you have. Me I could probably have it done in 3 hours or less but I also have a shop full of tools hoists, jacks and impact tools

And a wife that locks the doors and won't let him in until the JOB is Done...hhhhmmmmm
