Adjusting '64 806 TA....

Was doing some adjusting/maintenance on the row crop F 806 D, SN# 8655 S-Y. Adjusted the foot clutch and trans. brake per owners manual. Went to check/adjust the TA dump valve and the linkage and valve set up is not like what's in the OM or in the I&T manual for the F806. (See Photo) Part of it looks similiar to the spring clutch setup in the manuals, and part of it looks likes like a over center hand clutch setup. In the photo you can see that there is a dump valve spool on top. There is also a small shaft that must be a valve of some sort that sets directly behind the screw that has the spring on it. Don't know how to check/adjust it. Any help would be great. Thanks, Dan

Looks like all of them that i have worked on And they all set the same to me
Look back thru the archives and i have covered this may times over and if you do it the way i have layed out then your good to go
 
I tried that method but I can't pull anything much about the TA adjustment. I searched on 806 TA & 806 TA Adjustment and nothing really comes up. What key words have you used for the information you have posted. Thanks Dan
 
Found the archives and The tractor vet's section and looked thru the archives that start with 806 and didn't see anything. I've got to get going but I will look thru the rest of the Vet's things and see if I can find it. Thanks again Dan
 
Its pretty much the same for 806 thru 1466. I know he has discussed adjusting for a 1256 before. You might try the search with 1256.
 
The top valve is the TA control valve. Its connected to your TA lever on the side of the tractor. That little valve in back with the little rod and spring actuating it is the dump valve that releases the TA every time the clutch is depressed.

Tractor vet's TA adjustment procedure won't be specifically for the 806 because they all adjust the same. Just look for tractor vet and ta adjustment.
