How big can you bore a 350 Farmall

I have a farmall H that needs more hp. So I want to take a 350,put it in the H that I am willing to go BIG with. Need to know how big and what pistons I can go with. It looks like I can use M pistons and modify the rods to work with no sleeves. Can I go that big or bigger? Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks

Matt: Given the fact it is the same basic block used in the H, it has already been bored 3 times to increase it from 152, to 164, to 169, to 175. That has to be getting close to the limit.

I completely overhauled a 300 engine,using 350 sleeves and pistons,300 carb & manifold, electronic ignition and installed in a H.

I think going any bigger is asking for transmission and final drive problems if it is going to be used in the field with a heavy load.

If you are going to use it for tractor pulls go to the pulling form. You should find the answers you need there. Good luck

The pulling forum doesn't provide too much info on this type of stuff. Everybody is afraid to give away the "big secret" and face some competition. Get ahold of CHADS on the phone or email and you will get the answers you are looking for. I think this is his info Chad 574-893-7437 574-893-4230 [email protected]

If you bore out the needed material from the block, and put sleeves in it till they touch one another, you can go pretty dang big. But you are making a grenade, not an engine. Put the thin sleeves in it for a 350+ and call it powerful. JimN
