Governor on Farmall H

I have removed the governor from a Farmall H and need to install the replacement. Is there a trick to inserting the replacement governor? I am having trouble getting the gear to match up.

It is tricky. You have to roll the gears in. Make sure that the marks on both gears are exactually meshed. I paint the marks on mine to make it easier to see.
