my H dont got a smiley face on right now

welp my ole H done went and broke the cam gear i took the dist, and pump off "300 front cover and pump" looked in there it is my guestion is can i get the cover off without taking the front bolster off? coolant draing as i type this

TN Terry,

It will be extreemely difficult if not impossible to get the front cover off without removing the front bolster. The crankshaft pulley will have to be removed. To do that, make two or more pieces out of the pulley or remove the front bolster.

thanks i figured it out as of 10 mins. ago the front cover is off .

the ole h is swinging by the engine i unbolted the bolster and slid it forward just enough to clear the crank pulley new cam gear and gasket is all i need

i have 75 5x4 rolls i need to get to the house
