Haven't used this old tractor much the past couple of years.

Spent yesterday morning gathering bales. I swear I caught that H smiling a time or two. :>)

Allen,
I wish my father could see your picture while still on this earth with your H. We had many an H and W4 on the farm in N.E. Pa which were used for ALL of our 140 acre chores, part of which was with the H & loader (NO hydraulic bucket dump, slow, etc.). If he could see how some of these later add ons (3 pt. hitch, hydraulics, live pto, etc.) were used with the H, he would be happy. Thanks for sharing such a nice
"working" picture, the old (rejuvenated H) with the newer (is that a 706?).

I'm a Farmall guy but in a weak moment a bought a SC Case. I really think the purchaser and the old tracor were grinning when I got it home.

I agree!! And I'm pretty sure the other tractor in the photo is Allan's 686 International.

Pretty sure that old H thinks it is a 560.

It can do anything the big dogs do; just a bit slower is all. :>)

Other tractor is the 686. Just a newer version of a 656.

While I love seeing retired tractors revered, I love even more seeing them earn their keep! Great shot, Allan.

Allan: I think you saw that grin in the mirror. I find tractor expressions are much like a hog. I had a neighbor, his sow kept getting out of pasture. He couldn't find the break in the fence. Finally he discovered an old log he place in a ditch to block it from animal use under fence 25 years earlier had become hollow and the sow was walking through the hollow log.

He took the tractor, pulled the log out in middle of pasture, and found another way to block the ditch. He said, "You should have seen the stupid look on the sow's face when she walked through the log, only to discover she was still in the pasture."

Only time I've ever seen a hint of expression on a hog's face, is one time I had an electric fence around some young guilts and a boar. Boar was trying to get this young guilt away from back on to the fence and about 2' from it. Of course she was ready and nothing was going to move her. Finally the boar in despiration decided it had to be done. He mounted and got nicely about his business, when his posterior touched the electric fence. I tell you, I never saw a young guilt move so fast, she pulled out, almost left him standing on his hind legs. There might have been a hint of expression, definitely lots of squeal.

You know Allan, I think you're right. It sure seemed like Dad's Super M was enjoying itself pulling my #60 plow this past spring. That tractor hasn't been worked like that in at least 30 years.
