tractor type,age???

Just picked up an International Tractor....where do I Find out the age etc ...Any help would be appreciated.
 
s/n# 160777 Model FC- ?
I can't make out anything else on the plate....4 cylinder.I was told it was in the 50's.
There are other # on the body such as 351132-r1,355986r1.
 
Tis a 1954 Farmall Super C least according to the serail numbers on this site. Look along the left side uneder research and info and go from there.
 
The FC stands for Farmall C.

The 160777 is the tractor's serial number. Because it's over 100,000, it tells me that it is a SUPER C. Serial 160777 was built in 1954 according to the Serial Numbers page to the above left.

How could you put down good money on a tractor when you didn't even know what it was, though?
