I aquired a 1947 Farmall m with a scoop on that was said it was used for snow. the scoop frame all the same as a regular scoop but the scoop itself is about 6 foot wide instead of 3 can u help me?

The scoop on that loader was made wide like that to pickup or push more snow than a smaller bucket.

Almost every farmer in the upper Midwest has or had a tractor equipped with a snow scoop. My dad had a loader on his H; in the winter he would attach the snow scoop to the loader frame, put chains on the rear wheels and go out and push snow. That rig let them get to the neighbors when they wanted to play cards. Drifted driveway was shut?? No problem, get out the tractor, move that snow, get in the car and go!

Made to handle light bulky material on a trip bucket. Dad had one on a C loader. Bucket would not trip with snow in the dirt bucket.... not heavy enough to trip it all the way and spring back to re-set.
