Paint on 1930 Farmall Regular

I understand the Gray paint. The question I have are the wheels.
Were the wheels painted Gray also or Farmall Red?

The grey was paint from Navy Surplus according to an old timer I talked to in Ohio, and varied in color from barrel to barrel. I don't know the exact red used on the wheels, but all I have seen restored used IH Red and look just fine. My dad said he thought the wheel color back then was a little on the orange side of red, but as I said I am not sure. When I did mine, I hated the grey and used high gloss black instead, not original, but I think it looks sharp. When you get done the only opinion that counts is your's. Good luck!

I am really sorry, I just noticed the picture I posted of the grey tractor was copyrighted. I apologize to any and all, I was just trying to show the colors.

So you think that for years I-H used surplus grey paint from the navy. Now that guy who told you that did he also believe in the tooth fairy.

Roy,Gordon assures me he has the correct color gray, and the wheels are red,I like the rust red the best,My computer is down for a while,I didnt torque it enough
