Farmall M Starter Button

My 1946 Farmall M was converted to 12 volts with a key switch and solenoid. I want to change it back to the push button. The starter button bolts to the lower steering support. I need a photo of the parts used to engage the button. There's still a rod in the support, but there must be other parts needed to make it work. Please post a photo so I can see what's needed. Also, the new starter button say 6 volts on the box. Will it handle 12 volts? Thanks.

Yup, the six volt starter button (and the starter) will handle 12 volts fine. I can't post a photo here (beyond my technical skills), but the starter button sits in a hole that is the rear support of the gas tank, attached with two bolts (one on each side). The rod you push with your toe then touches the starter button and cranks the engine. Good luck.

Joes Farmall has the parts you need for the toe starter and so does Steel wheel ranch probably. Not expensive. I installed mine in a few minutes. Henry
