Super C Farmall Serial Number

I can not find the serial number on my Super C that I just purchased. It is not on the seat support bracket or the transmission housing. I can't find any numbers anywhere that correspond to the serial numbers for each year that I found on the internet. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me.

The engine serial number will be reasonably close to what the tractor serial number is. You will determine the year anyway. You can also get the year by the casting codes within reason, keep in mind the castings are made previous to production.
 
I found the serial number 135589. With the information I found on the internet this serial number would make this Super C a 1952 model. Would you agree.

Dave: What you have told Darl will be correct for a C but not correct on a SC. In the area of 135,000 engine numbers are about 2,000 higher than tractor numbers. By 1954 the spread increases to 11,000.

In 1952 tractor serial number 149945 had engine 151959, and in 1954 tractor 195652 had engine number 206642.

Yes, even with the engine numbers a couple of thousand apart, it would still appear that you have a 52. Casting codes should have the letter X in the dates.
 
Darl: The list on this web site is tractor serial numbers. As Dave said only way it could be wrong is near the beginnig or end of a year. Even with that you could come close by adding or subtracting. If at a later date you were dealing with a 53 or 54 you could calculate the larger spread.

Super C 100001 started off with engine the same number. I suspect the extra engines went for stationary use. Super A does the same but the difference is only 2,000 at 1954
