Governor on h

I have a farmall h when the throttle is at idle it"s all right when you move it 2 or 3 notches the motor rev"s extremely high rpm"s. I don"t know much about the governor on a h it sounds like a disconnect between the carb and governor to me i was wondering if this could be a pricey fix and just what i would have to do to fix it this is a tractor that is for sale that i found thanks for any help

Nothing pricey in there. Sounds like it could be a broken spring.

If the spring was broken, it wouldn't open up. Sounds like a flyweight is broken. Pull the cover off the side and have a look. Remember, the spring opens the throttle & the weights close it. Let us know what you find.
