I recently purchased a distributor from a individual/business for $110 that was damaged when I received it in the mail. When I contacted him he said he would refund my money or try and get me a new part if I would send the damaged part back to him, which I did. In the mean time I found another "good" part. Now when I try and contact him to get my refund, he won't answer the phone or reply to my E-mails. Any thoughts on what I should do next???
 
You probably will eat it.
Just be glad it was only $110.00.
When you ship or have shipped by mail by insurance.
 
The seller is a crook. But go ahead and file a claim with PAYPAL. That is your best bet. Ebay itself is crooked and could care less although they will pretend they care.( Did you know that paypal is owned by ebay).
 
I bought a tach cable and an oil guage from someplace that will remain unnamed for the next couple of days. The tach cable was junk, oil guage is awesome. Sent an email, got a response. Sorry about the cable, one year warranty call cust. serv. for return info. Call CS, get BS message we're extremely busy, please call back. I got nothin' better than to do? WTF? Call back next time I think about, same BS. Finally, call back talk to someone, we'll have to contact the emailer for RA and you bought this part last year, I'll call you back tomorrow. CCR wrote that someday never comes, maybe tomorrow doesn't?

I can tell you this though, I'll spend the money it cost me for the cable to open a website bashing the parts co. if I keep getting jerked around.
 
Also feel free to post a name, address, and location of this jerk on here and feel free to bash him if you like. This may make you better and simultaneously insure he wont get any buisness of the rest of us! Sorry for your loss buddy, but ya cant trust no one anymore. Its a shame. Maybe try the BBB.
 
Mitch,I bought a set of F12 brake shoes from a guy that right now I cant remember who it was,when I received them one was broke completely In half,I called him and he said he would check with his help and ask him if the shoe was broke when they were sent.I never heard nothing.

I re-read the post several times and am still pretty sure he said "individual/business"... nowhere did I see anything about eBay or Paypal.
Also, the offer was to replace the cable, not refund the money... he may still send you another cable if you want it, but may not refund your money.
 

I have had to get a refund, a few times, through my credit card. That is the reason I always pay with credit card or buy through PayPal, if on eBay.
About a month ago, I ordered some auto parts that I never received. Called the CC company and received a refund.

My bad... after reading that sentence again, guess he did offer a refund or replacement part.
 
I may have jumped the gun!!! Received an E-mail from the individual/business I bought the distributor from on 7/14/09. He indicated that he had some health issues and he would refund my money. I apologize for any hard feeling I may have caused and wish him a speedy recovery.

That's great. But, talk is cheap. Let us know when you actually get the dough.
