If I read the SN right, the tractor was one of the last 184's built in late '79 or possibly early '80. (48030 -52339)
Most of the issues with the numbered series lowboys had been corrected by the time the 184 came out. The engine is a C-60, the same that was used throughout the Cub program, but with internal upgrades to increase horsepower. It is a very good mowing machine, and a desirable tractor among the Cub fans. Most parts can still be obtained new through Case/IH, or used from a couple of sources.

Great book to buy is [b:215d57d528][i:215d57d528]"Original Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet"[/i:215d57d528][/b:215d57d528] by Kennith Updike.
Good luck and great find, have fun.
