oilbath air filter

just curious what weight oil is recomended for an IH 130 oilbath air filter and also if someone would post pictures of a restored 130,preferably industrial thanks-BUGGY
 
Check the tractor photos to your left. Oil is the same as in the engine, preferably heavier than 5W30. SAE 30 is a good weight to keep in it, or 15W40. When your tractor was built, the operators manual (you need to get one) specified 20 or 30.
 
I put 5W30 in the SH and had trouble with oil leaking out of the air intake. Switched to 30 wt and it went away
 
Bugman: Stay away from multigrade oils in the oil bath airfilter. The oil bath airfilter was designed before multigrade oils.

Multi grade oils work fine in the crankcase. Personally I use a 20 weight mineral lube.
