Lately I have been searching for a I-9, as I have been collecting the industrial series tractors from that era. I came across a complete tractor in Wyoming that at first I thought was an I-9. It had a foot throttle, solid cast hubs in the rear, and split rims. However the serial tag clearly says W-9 on it. I was wondering if these were options that your could get put on a regular w-9 from the factory? This tractor had the same fenders and platorm as a W-9. Does an I-9 and a W-9 have the same fenders and platform?
Thanks

My brother's I-9 in its current running but work cloths. I hope it helps some. JimN

pre screener
exhaust muffler, exhaust pipe extension and spark arrestor
engine hour meter
belt pulley
power take off
service meter
swinging drawbar
drawbar pintle hook w-9 and wd-9 only
pneumatic tire pump both schrader and enginair
front wheel extension tire wr-9 and wdr-9 only
rear wheel extension tire
rear wheel lugs (grousers)
rear wheel overtire w-9 and wd-9
rear wheel overtire with rim w-9 and wd-9
front wheel weights
rear wheel weights
mud scrapers wr-9 and wdr-9
the rice versions had a foot decellerator, but no foot throttle.
i would assume that someone installed a foot throttle from an i-9 on the w-9 you were looking at. a lot of field modifications were made to a lot of old tractors!!

The fenders and platform are different on the I-9 and the W-9. Someone must have installed a foot accelerator from the parts department or from a I-9 parts tractor.
