Cub industrial ?

I'm asking a question i think i know the answer to but here goes.

I have a friend with a 65 cub , he was told it was a industrial version !

I know they made them in other models with square front axles and foot throttles and other features as well.

Did they make a 65 industrial cub ?

Well, yes and no. In '63, IH changed the designation from Farmall Cub to International Cub. IH did market Cubs directly for somewhat "Industrial" purposes, like roadside mowing, but did not have a seperate "Industrial Cub" version that was any different than a standard Cub, other than paint and wheel options. That is unless we start talking about modified versions by seperate, non IH companies.

This tractor is yellow and white [ of coarse] but more so then any other i have seen. [yellow]The front rims and tires are wider then any cub that i own .

He's going to sell this tractor and doesn't want to tell people that it is a industrial version if it's not.

Thanks in advace for any info on this topic.

James: If I were selling that Cub, I'd call it as the model badge or decals call it. Unless there is something in the model badge that indicates industrial, I would not mention it. As screwstick said, paint color was the only difference.

In the mid 60s IH started going after numerous markets with the Cub. You have the original Farmall Cub, then CubLoboy, 154 and the various Cadets. I don't ever recall any of them being refered to as industrials. I may be wrong, as I was not in the market for that size tractor in those days.

How about a few photos? If you can't post them, email them to me and I'll post. The tractor sounds as if it may have the wide package (longer front axle and extensions on rear) to give it a wider footprint.

There were some "industrial" Cubs but there wasn't much difference. Some had a foot accelerator and some were painted entirely yellow (including parts that were white on the yellow/white tractors). Even these differences depended on what years you were looking at.

Mostly the difference was how it was sold.
