Farmall 706 tranny issues

Tractor will not move after changing filter and oil. Worked fine before; however, the TA never worked good. Always left it forward. PTO works, lift arms work, brakes work small amount, steering works small amount, and tractor will move only a few inches both forward and backward.
Tried dumping oil down cooler lines to perhaps prime the pump.

You need to prime pump! A bit of air pressure through the filler tube; 2 lbs, while she is running and she will suck it up!

if the TA were good, it would move anyway in low range, not hi. so your sprag is toast.

there are 2 plugs on the back of the MCV. One of them, i forget which, can be removed, then start the engine- be ready to shut down quick, a lot of oil comes out. then replace the plug and your good to go.
