May have an opportunity to purchase a 1206 Farmall. What are the weak points of this tractor? It seems the 806 gets a lot of praise from their owners just wondering if the 1206 was in the same category as far as reliability. Thanks

1206 is pretty much a 806 with a turbo, I have never really seen one tore up other than from being clean wore out.
A very good tractor in my opinion.

I ran one some as a kid. My ex-brother-in-law's dad had one. It was a great tractor, watch to not over rev on the RPM and you should really have a pyrometer on it. They can be a little sensitive to injector failure, but probably no more than any other older IH diesel.

i run an 806 at work. lots of power. the 1206 is basically the same just with a turbo i believe. It should be a good tractor.
