12 volt conversion for Farmall B

I would like to convert my 6 volt Farmall B to a 12 volt system. I have searched for conversion kits or information on specific parts needed, but I can't find anything. I know that it might diminish the value by converting to 12 volts, but I don't plan to ever sell her. Any help that you could give would be appreciated! She's a good old tractor!

best move you will ever make as far as starting is concerned, tractor will crank better with a half dead 12 than a new 6.you can even replace the 6 volt regulator with the right 12 volt an it will work, the 6 volt gen. can produce up to 17 volts. i prefer a delco 10si alternator because it will charge at low engine speed ,is also cheaper than gen. parts BE SURE TO WIRE IT UP RIGHT will work fine

You're right....but at some point I'm going to convert it. For now, though, I just dropped a new 6V battery in and it seems to be okay. As soon as the generator goes (and it is showing signs of it), it will become a 12V.

Thanks!
