Did IH sell W6 Super W6 in 1952?

I found a W6 that the family bought new in 1952. The owner showed me the original bill of sale ~!!! It has hydraulics with a pump like my SMTA. Did IH sell the regular and Super W6 in 1952, or is the W6 a 1951 model left over? I did not get the serial # when I was there - the shed was too dark.

Thanks
Ken

Guy Fay's data book indicates that both the W6 and SW6 were sold in 1952 AND 1953--someone else will have to give the details. But, I believe the W6 had live hydraulics before the Super M did.

In that period (early '50s), a three or four digit serial number will be a SW-6. A five digit number will be a W6.

The serial number will be on the bill of sale. A call to the owner should clear up the model type. Moreover, the serial number prefix will be SW-6 if it is a Super. WBK is the chassis prefix for a W-6.
