400 International

'55-'56. Probably painted red and has four tires.

If you want good info, you have to reciprocate and provide some. Like serial number and good photos. Don't forget the photos.

Thanks for the info will check it out. trying to find out who made it and where it was made. Have a 844S and found out it was made in Doncaster GB

Very funny, ya it has four tires. can't give any other info or pics. its not here, its up north at father-in-laws and he doesn't use a computer.

If it is an International, it comes from the W6/WD6, including the Super series of those models and is a standard or "wheatland" tractor that is used exclusively for pulling implements because you can't put mounted implements on it, except for possibly a loader. If it is a Farmall it comes from the line of M/SM/SMTA, which are row crops used for tillage or cultivating, they accept mounted implements. As Wardener said they were built in 55, 56, but the basic design started in 1939. The series more or less died in 1958, being replaced with more "modern" tractors with 6 cyl engines, although the rest of the drivetrain remained more or less the same.

i hate idiots that think there smart. 400's were built in the mid fifties. best source for info is guy fays "hundred series" book. it has anything and everything that you will need to know.
