706 power beyond

I"m trying to put a loader on a 706. The 706 only has one valve and a extra set of pipes with plugs in them, witch I thought was power beyond. I put the loader on and hooked up its valves, 2 levers, into the pipes on the back. Now to get any pressure on the loader I have to hold the lever on the 706. I have a cement mixer with hydro dump hooked to the valve on the 706 and to get that to dump or lift I have to hold either lever on the loader. What am I doing wrong or what should I do? Thanks, Matt

I have an 806 w a 2355 loader that has the power beyond valve. It is plumbed into the left side of the tractor under the seat suspension. The loader works completely seperate of either hydraulic remote. Without a better description yours sounds as if the "pipes" are plumbed into the hyd remote valve somewhere in fron of the hyd coupler blok

I hope this picture works. Is this a power beyond?

That looks similiar to how mine is hooked in but it comes out the side instead of to the back. If I can figure out how to post a pic I will

The IH 06 series tractors are open centered hydraulics. I don't think whether the loader control valve was closed or open center would be what's causing the loader on your 706 to operate the way it does.

We had a mechanic from our CIH dealer down doing some work on our MX 275 not long after I purchased the 806 & when he saw the tractor he mentioned he had done done some work on it over the years. One thing he mentioned was that the loader originally worked as you said yours does . He said he switched something around so that the loader valve worked independently of the tractor'ss hyd remote levers. Not sure exactly what he said. I had to go to the dealership this morning to pick up some parts& was going to ask him what he had done but he was out on a call. I'll try to talk to him next week and post back what he said

Hopefully here's a couple picsa I took of where the hyds hook into the left side of the tractor. Hard to get a good pic under the seat.
