My brother's 806 has been sitting and won't start. He's telling me that it can't be tow started. The same for his 856. Is this true?

If it has the torque amplifier aka T/A, they should not EVER be pull started because of the damage to the torque, tranny, clutch etc.

(quoted from post at 20:32:18 07/30/09) Ive towed my 460 international several times and have no issues with the TA.

The 460 has a mechanical engaged TA high side clutch. The 706 and larger tractors all use hydraulically applied clutches. Without the engine running there is no way to engage the clutch back so the engine will not turn over.

(The low side is also mechanically engaged like on the smaller tractors but it will only turn the engine backwards, not really what you need to get it to start.)
