turns out it was the mag. cap, it had the center connector ground down, the rotor wasn't in there right, then changed out the plugs, im getting some puffs of smoke every now and then, what ya think that is?

If it has not been run for a long time, or running poorly, I would work it hard for at least 4 or more hours before making judgments. If it has been worked, Guides or rings can pass oil in spurts. If it smoke mostly when idling, or going down hill, it is likely guides. JimN
