Hi folks

Can someone tell me the original value's of the groundbore size of an M Farmall engine?
Middle bearing cap was broken was broken and welded in the past and the 2 on the outside worn.I have three solid replacement caps and now the engine need to be line bored.
I can't find the 3 original value's in the IH-8 manual for one or or another reason.

Thanks!

You need to know what the engine serial number is since 2 different size crankshafts were used. Hal

2.7475-2.7485" prior to SN 278050

2.8075-2.8085" starting with SN 278050 & up.

El Toro,

Thanks for quik info.I have these crankshaft info already out of IH-8 manual and the info as mentioned by you are the sizes of the journals of the crankshaft. The crankshaft is OK and are the sizes as mentioned,I need the size of the groundbore of the engine. So the orginal size of the hole in withc the 3 bearings are mounted. The tractor with witch I am busy is a rather strange one and not much of any good left but it's an MV with all possible attachments but hard life.
