Was at the roundup on Friday and Saturday and missed the sale of the F-20. The guys sure did work on that tractor. What did it bring at the sale?

It brought a bid of a 2,700 and wouldnt go any higher. Nebrask Cowman said if it didnt go any higher, he would by it for $3,000 due to all the donated parts they had into it. The started and bidding again and the Guy Fay turned to him and asked he he wanted the $3,000 bid and he took it and won it. I would have bid on it but I have a super h that has been sitting in a pile of pieces since last summer and needs to desperately put back together so that i my project for the remainder of the year.

Selling that F 20 for 3100 was a crime; I thought it should have brought between 6 and 7 g's. We sell bull riders at our local rodeo for as much as that tractor brought. I sure felt it was a slap to the guys doing the work and the sponsors of the repairs. The first thing an auctioneer needs to do is his homework and try to have it presold or at least two very interested parties, as well as some lively ringmen who know how to run an auction. I would have volunteered for the sale if I had known what the set up was.
