I was supposed to be there this weekend but I changed shifts and jobs at work so that messed it up!
Thanks for the Picture!
Shaggy

Did you have a picture of the Super A fire truck? I got one of that, but I have never been able to post to this site (easily)

I was a little exicted and a little disappointed about RPRU. It was really great to see all those tractors. It was disappointing at how foolish it was layed out. There was a ton of walking and nothing flowed well. I was also disappointed bc my MD, SMTA, and H are nothing special after seeing SMDVTA's and flocks of gold demos. The last thing that let me down was the price of parts. I thought they would be cheaper than ePay, etc. I was also disappointed bc I never found a shirt for my 1 year old son.

I didn't see the S-A Fire truck, yet. I agree, I was a little dissapointed with things. I haven't covered the whole grounds, though. I, for whatever reason, thought the "island" was to have a majority of the tractors & not the little yeller fellers. They may have had more stuff show up than anticipated. With all the stuff there, there was no stationary thresher represented. I was shocked! There are a couple of beautifully restored grain binders in attendance. I was hoping there would be a fast-hitch rodeo. This was before I saw the restored f-h collection. I guess I wouldn't want to drag them all over creation, after doing all that work, either. The price of parts is to be expected, it's a major show. I ran across a McD milker pump, that is in pretty good shape, for quite a "YEEEOWCH!" price. I've witnessed several of these at auctions go for $30-$50 & that's keepin' them away from the scrap guys. As for a t-shirt for a toddler, nosir, can't say as I've seen one either. Well, unless they were already on a kid. - Mike

Sorry to hear it, Shaggy! Quirks aside, it's IH heaven! Once the show's over & I get home, I'll upload my photos to photobucket & create an album. I already have 200. The camera has been acting up all day, so I have a lot of pics to dump. I'll be posting a few pics over the course of the weekend. Enjoy - Mike

Don't get me wrong, I still loved the show. It is just easy to name your dislikes over your likes. They always stand out.
I have never been to a major show before and I didn't know what to expect.

Bring your own coffee. I asked someone at the paint seminar and they said a blue top tent had it, but not on the menu. When the fire alarm sent some of us smart ones out, I found it, WOW, $2 for maybe seven ounces. The Big Bar's are great, I liked the amount of 340's I found. MPeters, who posts on this site, has a nice collection of fast-hitch implements. Lots of wheel weights, sheet metal side curtains for the 40-60 series, shift knobs. T-shirts, well, I don't look as I have several over 20 years old, but lots of big folks who wouldn't find a well fitting one either. Not hot and humid, good weather. Wednesday evening I got down after a funeral and checked out Tony Franks. Spend lots of money folks, that balded-headed governor of ours has us in a multi-billion dollar deficit. Lots of friendly folk. A gentleman with a nice mounted picker went out of his way, going down to his pickup, got me an address for decals; now I just have to decide which extinct IH dealership name(s) I want to use. Crazy Red Power, nice if you could get a picture of the picker to post, hope your camera bug goes away. Get your RED out, and green and buy that refrigerator! Be patient, travel safe.

crazy, will you be there tommorow. Say hi to me if you see me, I am driving a shuttle wagon around the show, one without the cover. Boy, they give me a new Farmall 95 to drive, its pretty nice. Had 1.4 hours on it when I stated. Lots of real nice people out there, nice show, except for the rain today.

Dad called me a little while ago. Said it has been raining cats and dogs since early afternoon... High winds, thunder, lightning, tornadoes... the whole 9 yards. Said that hail was a possibility... That surely won't help all of that exposed sheet metal in a big open field...

Looks like a wet market for me in the morning...
