560 D Freeze Plug

Okay gang, I need to get to the freeze plug on the front of the 282 engine. I need some help in what steps to take or what manual should I purchase. I have a wide front. I think that I need to take the crank pulley off and to do this, I need to remove the radiator and possibly the front end. Any instructions or suggestions is appreciated!

I have been waiting for someone to come up with an easy solution to this. The way I did it was to pull front cover, which of course means pulling front bolster. Then the cam shaft gear needs to come off but you need a proper tool to install gear so as not to damage cam or lifters or push out rear frost plug. I always pulled camshaft myself, but this entails pulling valve cover, tappet cover, holding up tappets or removing them. The plug is near three fourths covered by the plate so I never could figure a sure fire way of putting in some kind of replacement that I could depend on long term.
