What is this part?

What is this part? Its on top of the engine on my 484. It looks like some sort of sensor but its screwed into a pipe coupling thats welded to a angle iron brace. Any idea what its for?

It looks like an oil pressure switch used to activate the charging system after the engine was running.
Is there an oil line comming out the back of it.
If it is just welded to the brace, I would like to know what it is for also.

The original chassis wiring only shows 3 sending units on the engine of that tractor:

So this must be a air cleaner restriction sensor. On the back side of the brace where the sensor is there is a tiny tube about a 1/2in long sticking out with about a 1/16in hole. There must supposed to be a small hose going to the air cleaner.

Now with more detail you posted about the tube it is probably for the air cleaner.
