40' Farmall A Narrow Front

Serial # on seat bracket is FAA 16341. Maybe they changed the seat. Hood emblem says A, maybe they changed the Hood. Left Axle housing is missing, so it looks like an A. I am assuming someone changed the Front to a Narrow. I did'nt think they made a Narrow on an A, but I figured you guys would know.

probably a B someone put a seat frame from an A on. A narrow front on an offset tractor would make it turn over the first time you tried to move it.

No they dont turn over you move the left wheel out a little. Then the left wheel will run inside the 6ft mower cut and you have quick turning works great. Any tractor can be upset wide front or not as they seem to upset newer tractors with wide fronts all the time its just how good is the operator.

The early BNs had FAA serial numbers.
