Bought a 40' Farmall A this weekend and it has a tricycle front end. Is this origional or added?

You can put the B steering sector on the A then it would be tricycle front. Now measure the diff housing on the drivers side. If it measures 18in that would be an A. If it measures 22in then it is probably a B with left side of an A. check the serial# on the block and on the seat bracket to see what the prefix reads. FAA is an A. FAB would be the B.
