What would it take to put the 1000 rpm pto into a diesel IHC 464? Thanks, Steve

Hi Farmall404, when my brother purchased a 495 in early 90s, dealer added 1000 RPM PTO. I remember a discussion on this board over a year ago and Bernard le Mechano gave the answer. So maybe searching the archives will find it. IIRC you have to replace the main PTO shaft from the PTO clutch. PTO clutch is accessed thru hole in side of transmission case under the right foot rest. Transmission has to be drained first.

Hi Jim, change the shaft for a shaft with 1000 RPM splines and the cover with the hole for the seal. You have to drain the oil, remove the cover to access to the PTO clutch pack, remove the roll-pin that secure the pack and pull the shaft out. Bernard le mecano Quebec Canada
