Re-place or re-build Injectors

I am going to try and fix the fuel delivery problem on my 574/D-239. Since I am a conservative, I am going to work from the top down.

Where do I get information on replacing the injectors? Do I want new injectors or have the old ones rebuilt? Where is the best place to get new injectors? or have injectors rebuilt?

CAN I DO THIS MYSELF OR SHOULD I SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP?

If you decide to replace/repair your injectors you should hit up your local yellowpages. Chances are there is a diesel repair shop somewhere nearby (nearest larger town etc.). Normally you'd have your old injectors repaired (new nozzles installed, cleaned, reset, and tested).

If you need to ask the last question then yes you should seek professional help with rebuilding your injectors.

Finally, have you been through a proper troubleshooting procedure before starting to replace parts? Sam
