RPRU: why not a consignment auction

Been thinkin' and sometimes that hurts. Why isn't there a consignment auction at Red Power Roundup. Wisc. Chapter 4 had one as part of their weekend event a year ago last November at the Clausen round barn, Old World Wisconsin. Is it a RPRU decision? I only attended one other RPRU and that was somewhere in Iowa several years ago. Can't recall if there was one there or as this next week, bring your stuff and if it sells, good; if not, haul it back. Just curious.

There's a consignment tag sale at the RoundUps instead. Auctions tend to take up too much space, which is at a premium at a Round Up. They also take a lot of organization, which is hard in the middle of a Round Up. Last consignment auction at a Round Up was back in 2000. The IHCC has a National Fall Auction that rotates around the country, Wisconsin hosted the auction in 2007. It wasn't a part of a "weekend event", it was the National Auction.
