farmall A stuck clutch.

the A has been sitting in the back of the barn for about 5 yrs. got it out last weekend and ran it for 15 min and then went to restart it and the clutch was stuck.( big mouse nest in bell housing) cleaned it all out and got it going and it freed up. well to day we went out to use it and the clutch was stuck. this time its not wanting to free up. you think ill have to split it and clean it out better? thanks Bob

If it is pretty clean, it should break loose if given a chance. Get it in the open, and start it in gear 2nd, or 3rd. It will start to move as soon as the starter is engaged, so be careful (if a crank start, do not do this)....
If a crank start, put it in high gear, brakes On or wheels blocked, and keep the ignition OFF. Then use a bit of force on the crank (maybe as much as 100lbs hanging on the crank handle) This will turn on the disk, and free it hopefully. If it has a starter hole it might have a ring gear that could be pried on with a pinch bar to assist in rotation while in high gear. JimN

As Jim say and you can also take brake cleaner and spray it into and on the clutch area with the pedal blocked down. Pull the starter off so as to make it easy to do. Turn the engine over a little at a time to get to the whole clutch. What probably happened is you cleaned it out and now that air gets to it real good the mouse pis$ has caused it to rust fast

I'll add to this good stuff the idea that blocking the pedal down while it is not in use may be needed for a week of good use to get things back to reality. JimN
